Food for thought:

in warm cultures we pertain the ability to satisfy the human race with love and hospitality.
In cold cultures we pertain the ability to satisfy the human race with direct giving of objects and time and service. Both have alot to offer but which has the ability to change the lives of others? Which has the ability to change the yearning hearts of others?
Having living in both cultures of the two types, I have come up with an answer worth wrestling with. My answer comes from experience in living within community and interacting with locals. It's human nature to want to change the lives of others whom we think are wierd, wrong or different. The fact that we think some practises or values of a culture is wrong, is wrong of us within itself.
Now let not begin to deny that we think this or do this. We all do when we expereince a new culture and when we experience this, we experience culture shock. We simply maybe just need to remind ourselves frequently, "who are we to know what is right and what is wrong in other cultures". We really don't know because it is not our culture or way of life, it's their way of living life. We know that God is overall and he is the one and only God who loves everyone and everything no matter what they do. His love is infinite. he is the main judge the only one who brings true and honest Justice. Look at Jesus in the bible with the adultrous woman, that was him working Justice and judgment here on earth. We are in the end responsilbe for ourselves first then our brothers and sisters. When we deal with ourselves and our issue then we can be great examples and be used in the kingdom to glorify God. We should never through the first stone at someone because they did something wrong. Just like we should never be the first to judge another culture adn their practises. God is our Judge, Love and Peace. Through Him we have a compassionate life to offer the world. A life full of his beautiful gifts to pour out and love.
That is some delicous food for thought by Kelly :)

Stay Tuned....
